beach clean upThe City of Seaside, Seaside Downtown Development Association, and Beach Drive Buccaneers invite you to join with us in cleaning up marine debris on our favorite Oregon Beach. Organized cleanups will take place, rain or shine, the first Saturday of every month. Sign in at The Seashore Inn on the Beach, 60 N. Prom, Seaside, get your bag, and, when done, drop it in a trash receptacle along the Prom. Stay the day and enjoy Seaside's great shops and restaurants. northwest forestFriends of Laurelhurst Park was established to encourage volunteer participation in the maintenance, beautification and advocacy for one of Portland’s landmark neighborhood parks. Supervision, basic tools, gloves and water are provided as participants weed beds, prune trees and shrubs, remove invasive and nuisance species, mulch existing beds and prepare and plant in areas needing attention. The work performed is vital to the health of the park, the quality of the landscape and pleasure experienced by park visitors. Volunteers meet at the north entrance to the park on SE Ankeny Street.

Join local residents of the Road's End neighborhood of Lincoln City in a volunteer effort to clean up the beach on the morning of July 5th. Road's End Beach is a popular July 4th destination. Unfortunately, there is significant picnic and fireworks debris left on the beach, which is a terrible health, safety and environmental hazard. Registration and refreshments will be at the Roads End Wayside State Park from 9 am- 1 pm. Let's all help to keep Road's End Beach a special place.
